Living in Freedom

In the introduction DongTeam.org visualizes Dong people "living in the freedom that comes through Christ." That is not just a nice sounding phrase.

Many Dong people live in daily fear of spirits. Women fear walking on mountain trails alone at night, because they and their friends have been attacked. Offerings are given to keep the spirits away. The consensus, even among the Dong themselves, is that the spirits are evil.

They just do not know any other option.

Father, we ask you to bring the light to these areas. Where there is little but darkness, shine the light of truth and freedom, true freedom. Give them the freedom to live in love, the freedom to thrive in faith, the freedom to have hope in their own future. You alone can give these things, and we ask that you would give these to the Dong people.
