Psalm 65:11
You crown the year with a bountiful harvest;
even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.
When I read this verse, I immediately think of Jesus explaining the Parable of the Sower to his disciples. In Jesus's parable, the seed that falls on the pathway represents those who hear but do not understand; the seed is easily snatched away from their hearts by the evil one.
In this Psalms passage we see a very different story. "Even the hard pathways overflow with abundance." In other words, even where the seed falls in the hardest place and the recipients do not hear and understand, the seed still bears fruit. Why? The Lord will crown the year with a beautiful harvest.
Let us join together in prayer for those Dong who have heard, but not understood
Father, your seed is being spread. Many Dong have heard the message, but have understood little to nothing of what they have heard. It is so far from everything else they know. We come to ask that even though they did not understand and even though the chances of the seed of your Gospel taking root in these hard pathways is so small, that you would water and grow the small pieces of truth lying in their hearts. Crown the harvest with great abundance.
