Regardless

As the Habakkuk passage makes clear, the results we do or do not see are not necessarily the way things truly are. It is hard to keep praying when we see nothing happening. It is hard to know what to pray for when so little news is given to be able to know what to pray for.

Let us, instead, put our joy in the Lord of our salvation! Let us praise him for all the things he is doing outside of our knowledge. He is working among the Dong people; he is becoming the God of strength among them. We must keep praying for his name to be glorified among them.

Sovereign Lord, you are more concerned with the Dong people than we could ever be. We know you want every one of them to come to know you. Sometimes we do not know what to pray for or lose the motivation to continue in prayer. We come to you and place those concerns with you.
We do not see what is happening right now and it often feels like nothing ever will happen, but you are sovereign and you will most definitely be exalted as Lord over the Dong people. Please continue to use us in prayer and lead us to those things for which you want us to pray.
