The Lord has bared is holy arm before the eyes of all the nations,
and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
In short, the answer to that question is "yes!" Elsewhere in Isaiah, the Lord asks if once his arm has been stretched out to work, there anyone who can turn it back? No! Well, he has bared his holy arm before all the nations, and he will definitely fulfill his plan.
Are we sure his plan includes the Dong people of China? They surely fall within "all the ends of the earth" and so, yes, the Dong too will see the salvation of our God.
We do not find any assurance in our own power. However, we can place all our assurance in the words of our most faithful Lord. He has bared his holy arm, and he fully intends to work his wonders. We want to see what happens when the Lord starts working. What a wonderful sight!
Oh, loving Father, we sometimes forget the power with which this universe was made and by which it is held in place! It is so easy to think about all the limitations we face as humans when we come to you in prayer. But in prayer, we are joining with the Lord of all creation. We join with you and yearn to see the wondrous power of your arm at work among the Dong people. May all the ends of the earth see the salvation of our God!
