Safely Over the Mountains
Habakkuk 3:17-19No matter what the situation in the Dong world looks like right now, there is still meaning to rejoice! Let us pray for the Christians, Dong, Chinese, and foreign, working among the Dong.
Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vine; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation. The Sovereign LORD is my strength! He will make me as surefooted as a deer and bring me safely over the mountains.
Father, please use these verses to show a promise of strength and joy for those who are working among the Dong. They do not have to worry about the results or the lack of results. Father, give them a joy in you. Show them they will always be as surefooted as a deer as they have to trek through the many "mountains" in their way.
