Though it stands against all reason, the Chinese government is against any translation of God's word into minority languages, including Dong. Not only is the selling of the Bible legal in China from the state sanctioned churches, but the word in these minority languages would help enable the churches to spot and resist an even greater enemy of the Chinese government: cults.
The government wants to hamper the progress of any translation work into Dong. We need to pray for the government officials; we need to pray for the translation; we need to pray for all involved.
Father, please continue to give your protection to those working on any project translating your work into the Dong language. Help them to continue making progress so your name can be praised and your church strengthened at the reading of your word. Help the government officals with responsibility over these matters to either see the benefits of such work or to see nothing of the work at all.
